Quest Mingle! This post is for plotting!

• These quests are valid from start of February until end of March.
Characters don't need to be a member of the guild to do quests and anyone can do any segment's quest! The quests are just marked this way to show where the quests are taking place.
City Location Details | Segment Location details
• Remember to keep distances (times are calculated as walking times) in mind when planning what quests to do when. You have two full months, so there's no rush!
• For some of the monsters, additional details can be found from the Beastiary.
• Rewards are for one completion of the Quest, but characters can do it multiple times to earn more money from them, as the problems do repeat.

• Please see the guild page for permanent quests.

Horror ErrandsSadly, the airship staff has been really busy lately, so we haven't had as much time to run errands for the old ladies living at the Airship Stations. So, we're asking you guys to help us instead. Some of the items are a little bit odd, but they say it's part of their cat's diet or part of their special recipes. Either way, please gather the ingredients listed on the lists and bring them to the airship so we can take them to the old ladies - or you can deliver them straight to them, too, if you'd like. All four Airship Stations in the Segments have an old lady living in them, who refused to evacuate when the world changed. All of them have different cats (Winter has ghost cats, Springs has cats that look like half-flowers, Summer has cats that look like small versions of tigers and lions and Autumn has will-o'-the-wisp like spirit cats). You're free to come up with the most random ingredients, but the twist is that 1 in every 10 ingredient list will automatically summon a Demon (basically just a big, angry, red humanoid guy with red wings and horns that tries to kill you so kill it first) once they've been collected. When asked about it the old lady that gave the list goes "Oh, no, I must have mixed up my books again."700 Moon Coins
It Really Pulls You InA friend of mine almost got his soul taken by a book last week. He found a book from an antiquarian bookshop and started reading it. After that he couldn't take his eyes off the book and just kept reading it and reading it. I saw his soulless eyes and decided to rip the book out of his hands. I destroyed the book and as it burned it screamed with the voice of my friend, but his soul returned to him! After that I've heard there have been several other situations like these and that these books appear in various places. Please, find and destroy the books before people lose their souls to them.Soul Eater Books are possessed books that have malicious spirits residing in them. They can be detected by winter power holders, but even people that sense magical energies may find something strange about the books. Touching them will make the person open the book and just continue reading it, gripping the book hard so no one can tear it away from them. Their soul will literally be trapped inside whatever book they were reading (reading a horror book? They will experience the horrors a little bit too vividly) and will only be released if the book is destroyed. If the book manages to completely eat someone's soul, the person will fall into lifeless trance and the book will try to fly off with the soul.1000 Moon Coins
Their Gift is My SongWe wish to spread the joy of both Valentine's Day and White Day by letting people send greetings in the form of songs and poems! That's why we need volunteers to deliver these songs and poems, acting like living greeting cards! You have plenty of costumes and props to choose from and the songs or poems you get to perform are created by the sender. You can use our special "Temporary Memory" Spell to memorize the song or poem perfectly until it's performed! Of course you may keep the spell afterward.Sometimes the cards get sent to the wrong people, creating awkward situations. There are also a lot of natives who are very fond of the new power holders, so some might get a greeting card from a random secret admirer. Some of the costumes are enchanted to make the character perform in the most silly way against their will!500 Moon Coins, Temporary Memory Spell

Lily of the LakeFlowers have started growing on the surface of the Frozen Lake. It's something that happens once a year for only two months a time. Otherworlders missed it last year, but now is your chance to get some very unique and useful flowers. They're called Glacial Lillies and they're used for potions that boost any and all elemental powers temporarily! It's definitely worth collecting as many as you can to use for potions.Eating a Glacial Lily will also boost someone's elemental powers, but also has the side effect of making the person's hair freeze into a solid block of ice. It's not recommended, but the quest giver forgot to mention that. With the quest comes a recipe for the potion. The potion effect lasts for 48 hours per vial drunk.Glacial Lillies
Runaway Candles
CW/TW: burns
I thought I was going crazy, but my friends confirmed it was real. There are candles running around in the Winter Segment. Literal candles with arms and legs and a bright blue, orange or red flame. We don't know where they came from or what they're doing, but so far they haven't attacked anyone. Whenever a candle's flame flicks out they stop, but usually another candle comes around to light it up again. Somehow they don't seem to melt like normal candles. I would very much like to know what their deal is.Approaching the Roaming Candles will result in the candles gathering around the person to try light them up. They can't really tell that someone or something isn't a candle, so they run away lighting things on fire. Objects sometimes get animated with the flame, but living things usually just get burned. Otherwise they're not very dangerous, as they're just looking out for their fellow candles(?).500 Moon Coins
Winter JawsI never thought I'd have to report seeing a shark in the middle of snow. But I was visiting the Watchtower and saw a huge shark jump out of the piles of snow and dive back in. I'm telling you, it was at least twice the size of a normal shark. I asked someone about it and they claimed they saw one near the Airship Station, too! Does this mean there are these kind of sharks everywhere where there's a lot of snow? That's scary! I will pay anyone to investigate and potentially deal with this problem, because that can't be safe - especially since they're also white, so they're hard to see before it's too late!Snow Sharks are a variation of sharks that swim through snow. They used to live in the forest near the Wolf's Blood Mountains, but they've recently expanded their territory. They're vicious and attack anyone and anything that comes their way. Their weakness is that they can't enter areas with less snow, like the icy surface of lakes, or water as they will fall apart.900 Moon Coins

One Very Big Fruit Tree?
CW/TW: mind altering
There's a rumor going on that the One Very Big Tree is growing fruit. Someone tried to confirm it but didn't see anything, at least from the outside. But now I'm curious. What if there are fruit there, but they're somewhere hidden? Someone should check the tree properly! Who knows how important fruits growing in a tree that big are! So please look into this in the name of science! One Very Big Tree is a 20 story height tree that affects people's personalities as they climb (there are stairs and empty floors inside the trunk), making their personality "flip" into opposite of their normal personality. It's also a place to harvest feathers of a great monstrous birds that give weapons the ability to fly back into the users' hands. It does have fruit, but you have to make a special fairy vine (out of the grass growing nearby it and a whispered enchantment of 'see the unseen') and look through a loop made with it. The invisible fruit can only then be seen. This information can be found from a metal plate on the second floor of the tree. The fruit are similar to apples and are cute and glowy. Eating a whole fruit (tastes like a very, very sweet apple) will keep hunger away for the rest of the day.Fruit, 400 Moon Coins
Skele-RiverdanceThe Dancing Skeletons are back. This time they've appeared in the Spring Segment and have found skeletal friends that no one was aware of existing. We decided to call them Floral Skeletons, since they're decorated with flowers and I think some of their bones look like flower stems, too. They've teamed up in a series of group dances like the riverdance and once they find someone they will force them into dancing with them. Regular people have a hard time leaving and are passing out due to exhaustion. Please, do something.Floral Skeletons smell like flowers and are very peace loving. They see this dancing as a thing of joy and don't understand why anyone would be opposed to it. They sometimes wrap vines around the people's arms to make them keep up with the rhythm.700 Moon Coins

Plant of Nightmares
CW/TW: illness infliction, petrification, rot
Farmlands are being terrorized once again. Thanks to the barriers formed around plots the crops are safe, but everywhere else is a danger zone. These really creepy plant monsters are breaking places and eating anything they can get their weird mouths on! They're completely made out of vines that are covered in dark energy and some of the vines look even rotten or otherwise really sick! They have sharp teeth hiding among the vines, too! I saw one bite through a wooden workbench! Some natives that went out there to tend to crops are stuck inside the barriers since the monsters are out there just waiting for people to come out. Please help! The plant monsters are called Swishers. They're monsters made entirely out of vines that have a giant mouth in the middle full of sharp teeth. They smell very sweet, but their breath is a trap that can cause either stun or petrification. Some of their vines are covered in sludge that melts through steel and some of them are rotten and can inflict their target with an illness that cause a high fever.
The dark energy surrounding the monsters will make otherwordly abilities less effective against them. And yes, these are inspired by a certain recurring Final Fantasy monster.

Goods ExchangeMermaids have successfully managed to grow an important medicinal plant in the underwater grottos. They're inviting everyone down to the Mermaid Village, in the Great Ocean Lake, to fetch them. All they ask in return are some fruit from outside the Temple of Life (all kinds of fruit welcome) enhanced with a spell to make them resist being affected by the salty waters. They will also offers tours in the beautiful coral gardens they managed to revive after the Sirens near the village retreated deeper down the lake or to play with the water mounts (tamed sea lions, seals, giant sea horses, dolphins, orcas and sharks) and their babies. The spell is something that can be used later as well. It will keep fruit fresh for a longer time and stop any additional tastes from catching on them. The medicinal plant the mermaids managed to grow is called Hydro Irises. When used in potions the herbs will help with fever. Eaten as is will have a similar effect to a breath mint.Fresh Fruit Spell, Hydro Irises, 500 Moon Coins per trip
Jungle MaintenanceWe decided to finally start making progress in the Jungle of Judgement, since we want to discover what sort of other resources there might be, other than the fruit near the Temple of Life. However, there seems to be problems! All the bridges and paths previously made are broken, which doesn't come as a surprise. What does is whenever one bridge or path is repaired, another one is broken due to Jungulls. They have a special ability to be spit anything from their mouth as a projectile, while flying in the air (usually rocks). It's frustrating work when your hard work is destroyed right away. So help us!Jungulls are a variation of seagulls (that are the size of swans) that live in the jungle. They're mostly mischievous and like destroying things. Usually they don't attack people, but if they're attacked they will direct their projectiles at their adversaries. The area the people want to restore is huge (all around the area around the Temple of Life clearing) and there's a lot of Jungulls to deal with.1000 Moon Coins

Kaboom!
In the eastern and southern parts of the Summer Segment, a very weird monster has made an appearance. They look like giant balls of lava, but they float. I was helping at the lighthouse when I saw a few of them explode in a huge chain reaction, making craters in the ground. I'm afraid of the damage they could do if they got closer to the city or the airships that travel here! Something should be done about them, but be warned: I saw some dark energy floating around them, too.Explodies are bombs that explode for no good reason and cause chaos. They're resistant to normal physical attacks. They grow each time they're hit and cause even more damage. The color of their eyes implies which elemental magic is strong against them, but they try to keep their eyes closed for that very reason. Hitting them with the element they're weak to makes it easier to defeat them and makes them shrink - but there are other methods to shrink them as well, such as taking away their fire or just making them chase someone around. They "sweat" and lose material.
The dark energy surrounding the monsters will make otherwordly abilities less effective against them. And yes, these are inspired by a certain recurring Final Fantasy monster.

Autumn Segment

Quest NameDescriptionOOC NotesRewards
A Pirate's Life for the DamnedSeeing airships is very normal in this world. Even on the Segments, people tend to see them fly past and some even take airships out for a spin, right? Well, recently the airships in the Autumn Segment have been attacked by pirate ships. But the strange thing is they're normal ships floating in the air with pirate flags all over. Apparently the ships and the crew are all part of the same monster, or so someone claimed! I don't know what to believe but the air is not safe.Aerial Pirates are monsters formed from ships that took down the whole crew with them. The souls stuck to the ship and are now taking revenge on everything and anything, trying to satisfy their empty hearts. While they're essentially ghosts they can be seen due to sticking to the ship. The cannons fire fog balls that will stick to their targets and form a smokescreen around them. Their blades are very much the real deal! Destroying the ship will definitely be the quickest way to deal with the monster.1500 Moon Coins
Do Fear the ReaperThey say that lightning never strikes the same spot twice. Well, recently this has happened a lot all around the Autumn Segment. It's definitely a strange thing, no? The earth on the spots are scorched, so they're easy to find even when there's a pause with the strikes. Maybe there's something there that would explain what's going on? I'm so curious.Every spot where lightning strikes multiple times there's a metal box buried, attracting lightning. If someone digs it up, the box will open and a Lightning Reaper will appear from the box, immediately attacking the people who dared to disturb it. As the name suggests, it uses lightning as a weapon, as well as a scythe that conducts it. If a storm happens to pass while in battle, it will gain even more strength to its attacks. Those touched by its scythe will receive a number on their palms that starts counting down, indicating they're marked for 'death'. The only way to reverse this is to kill the reaper.1000 Moon Coins
Flash FloodsDue to recent increase in rain, parts of the Autumn Segment have flooded. Thanks to that, the mystifying Water Wyverns have woken from their slumber and made their way to the segment. Anywhere where there's a flood you have a chance to encounter an horse-sized wyvern that lives in the water. They're not exactly dangerous, but they do nibble at anything out of curiosity. Their tails are strong and can topple over entire trees. Since they're mostly peace loving creatures, we would like you to help them find their way back to the depths of the (strangely deep) autumn forest lakes they came from.Water Wyverns were thought to have gone extinct after the Darkness came, but somehow they survived. No one really thought about the unmarked lakes in the forests, but apparently they're big enough to host these giant creatures. The grateful Water Wyverns will give anyone who help them a Wyvern Scale, that can be used to enhance any piece of clothing or armor and make it twice sturdier than normal.600 Moon Coins, Wyvern Scale

Be My Horny Valentine
CW/TW: aphrodisiacs
The Red Light District sex shops don't want to lose to Underground Mall ones, so they've come up with a special romantic holiday treat. For both February and March they're offering anyone interested free samples of chocolates. All of the chocolates have interesting side effects, meant to spice up an intimate situation. The shops also offer a voucher that lets them rent a luxury suit in prestigious Red Light District Love Hotel, armed with various entertaining items. When you report how the chocolates worked, you get to choose to take any of the chocolate bars (25 bites) with you or monetary compensation.Red Light District exists in the central district of Nightwake. The effects the chocolates have are: Whisper (makes even a whisper send a wave of arousal in their partner), Slick (no need to lubricants with this chocolate), Delay (makes an orgasm delay until both are ready to cum), Kiss (every kiss will feel like heaven, no matter where they're kissed).Chocolate Bar OR 1000 Moon Coins
Bingo Until the End of the WorldThere's a cult that believes that the world will end in April. They have made a primary goal to fulfill all their sex fantasies before they die and they are encouraging people to take part in their "bingo". They use a spell that will make a card with 8 prompts that the person has not tried before and/or that are the person's 'favorite' things to do, ranging from positions to places. The magic won't suggest anything the person would be really uncomfortable with, but focuses on the person's secret desires. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the bingo cards, but we're worried that they will cause panic with the end of the world nonsense. So it would be good if you could try and talk to them to make them stop - but they're more receptive to what you have to say if you're participating in the bingo. These bingo cards are generated by players and they tailor to characters' secret desires, even those that they haven't really put a lot of thought in but may have been interested in passing. They can be very kinky, very vanilla or a mix of both. Basically your characters has two months to do eight different new intimate things.
Also the world is most definitely not ending in April, the cult is just a bunch of superstitious idiots who thought they "saw the signs". There are no signs. So it's all really just a bunch of nonsense.

Monster Tentacle (Rescue)
CW/TW: possible dub-con, tentacle porn
An experiment with a Tentacle Rescue item went horribly wrong. We tried to make it even bigger to be more useful, but instead a bunch of them are now even more sentient and perverted! They're looking for already aroused people to engage with (at least they don't jump on unsuspecting people). They also seem to back off, if someone is really against it - which is nice. Usually after one session they'll be easier to either capture or destroy. Otherwise, they have a lot of sexual energy (two guesses what we used in this experience). Considering this a warning, too, that you might run into wayward tentacles if you're feeling horny.Tentacle Rescue item description from the shop: It looks like a tentacle but it's actually a very good rope for rescuing yourself from a rough situation! This rope attached itself to anything so that you can climb any surface into safety. When not used it goes into a neat little bag. (The tentacle also sometimes attached itself to other things as well and was originally designed for... other purposes.) They can be destroyed fairly easily even without "tiring them out" and don't have any other special abilities or effects.
The tentacles will not force anyone to do anything, this is not a non-con quest. They also do not target anyone under the age of 16 because of ~magic~ reasons.

City Crime Quests
This questboard on an app on the phone and is only unlockable if your character has received a (handwaved) code for it from one of the crime organizations or just criminals of Nightwake. Another way is to hack your way in if you know it exists.
You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonable way for your character to get there. It can basically just be "character looked bad enough and got a code handed to them", no need for elaborate plans.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.

Grand Theft UniformIt's a high time the cops started sharing their technology with us. So, I want people to steal from those lousy pigs. What we're after is the uniforms they wear. Why should only they have something so protective? I will pay a high price for any uniforms you manage to steal - and I don't care how you do it or if there's blood on the uniforms, as long as they work.Casual uniform looks like this (either a short sleeve or a long sleeved version, can also have a skirt instead of pants), but this very uniform has the ability to transform into a suit developed by the Nightwake Researchers. The suit has a built in connection for contacting the headquarters when necessary and also has a holographic map system. Protects the user from elemental magic, as most of the law enforcement cops are natives with no powers. The helmet goes into the suit. Also has neat little compartments for weapons or handcuffs. Suit also responds to the wearer's body for maximum protection.4000 Moon Coins per suit
Specimen Hunt
CW/TW: kidnapping, experimenting on people
Looking for people willing to find me specimen for my experiments. These specimen have to be regular people, so any easy target would do. It's best if you don't ask what I need them for, but I can assure you they won't get killed. The experiments involve using potions to make people into pets. Literally. The kidnapped people are turned into different animals (dogs, cats, bunnies etc) that live a very long life, as opposed to what normal pets do. The people keep their own mind, but tend to act like the animal would under the circumstances. Those able to speak to animals in any way may be able to speak with them. There are potions and magic to reverse the transformation. Knowing how to do animal transformations doesn't reverse the potion effect as the potions are very potent.6000 Moon Coins per "specimen"
We Don't Talk About EllipsabucksI have a huge grudge against Ellipsabucks. They're making all the small cafe owners have a hard time everywhere they open! I want to sabotage their brand and the best way to do it is to release Coffee Rats into their cafes. Usually, they have enhancements to stop them from accessing their cafeterias, but if someone were to walk in with them, they would bypass them! I will attach the location of a few Coffee Rat suppliers in the message should you accept.Coffee Rats are, as name implies, rats that love eating coffee beans and drinking coffee. It's their main source of food (they also consume tea leaves, but they're not as tasty). They can be a valuable asset to anyone checking the quality of coffee beans (they will express their dissatisfaction by throwing beans or coffee on the floor) but normally people don't want to see rats in a cafe so they're only allowed in the backrooms. The person is hoping the coffee in Ellipsabucks is so bad they start throwing the drinks off tables. What happens is up to the player.
Ellipsabucks is a local Starbucks ripoff. For those curious there is also a creature called the Tea Mouse, added to the Companion Creatures page.
