Quest Mingle! This post is for plotting!

Guideline

• These quests are valid from start of April until end of May.
• Characters don't need to be a member of a guild to do quests and anyone can do any segment's quest! The quests are just marked this way to show where the quests are taking place.
• City Location Details | Segment Location details
• Remember to keep distances in mind: it takes 2 weeks to travel on foot from the bridges to the edge of the map (barrier). Faster methods for travel exist, of course.
• For some of the monsters, additional details can be found from the Bestiary.
• Rewards are for one completion of the Quest, but characters can do it multiple times to earn more money from them, as the problems do repeat.

• Please see the guild page for permanent quests.

Quest Types
• Battle Quests: Usually deal with hordes of monsters or monsters that threaten the natives. Always involves battling.
• Boss Battle Quests: Boss Battles appear when a certain condition is met. Usually linked to normal battle quests and always involve battling. They can be "summoned" multiple times during the months.
• Gathering Quests: Ingredient hunting. These can be gathering minerals, plants or even capturing animals where necessary. Rarely involves battling - if there is it will be marked.
• Misc Quests: Quests that don't really fit into other categories.

A Very Specific Request	Right, this is going to sound strange, but please hear me out. A Cabbage Kite has taken up residence on my roof. Normally that would be fine. However, the creature has become... agitated. A local naturalist insists it is attempting something called an Ascension, but it apparently requires a large quantity of mayonnaise to complete the process. I would very much like to avoid a cabbage-related incident on my property. If someone could locate some mayonnaise and bring it here, I would be grateful.	The Cabbage Kite is relatively harmless but a nuisance, and will continue coming back to the area even after people have managed to get mayonnaise up to it.	200 Moon Coins
I Wish I Mayo	It's Cabbage Kite season, and the haunted cabbages are flying into Solarpeak again in search of mayo. This year the trend seems to be to mix and make new exotic mayos with different spices or flavours. Questers are encouraged to experiment with mayo and see what the cabbages are hungry for!	Cabbage Kites are spirits that possess cabbages and fly them into town every year to find mayo. Once they're given mayo that they like, the spirit moves on, leaving the cabbage behind.	Any cabbages caught; mayo blend being sold at food stands if it proves popular enough (with royalties paid)
Some Like It Hot	Think you can handle the heat? The Ember Ladle is hosting a special spice challenge for brave souls who believe their taste buds are made of stronger stuff. Contestants will attempt a series of increasingly fiery dishes prepared by our kitchen, each one hotter than the last. Those who can keep their composure and finish the challenge will earn the respect of the kitchen... and a small reward.	A challenge where characters are fed escalatingly spicy food. Participants will be made aware that the staff will not be held responsible for watering eyes, burning tongues, or wounded pride.	Bragging rights around the city; a custom "Spice Trembles Before Me" shirt, hat, and trophy with your name and face on them; 100 Moon Coins
Stealing the Spark CW/TW: Household fires (minor)	People have reported several blackouts and small household fires relating to them recently. It seems that a series of Zappy Mice Wizards have been visiting houses to satisfy their need to get sparks. They're usually harmless, but sometimes they get a little too excited and steal too much or accidentally short circuit something, causing fires. It would be good to catch them and find them a better way to get that spark... unless the thrill of getting caught is part of what they enjoy.	Zappy Mice Wizards are shadowy mice that wear wizard robes. They're small household pests that can sometimes be found in houses and buildings.	800 Moon Coins

Bad to the Bones	Golden Bones come from Golden Skeletons. These rare skeleton monsters will fight whoever finds them in the forest, but if you can defeat them, their bones can be used for protection.	Golden Bones are protective items, so naturally, Golden Skeletons have high defence and will take some time to wear down.	2,500 Moon Coins
Enjoy Your Trip	Recent travellers have reported sections of snowfield collapsing without warning, revealing deep pits beneath the ice. Several unlucky souls have fallen through... and reports suggest they were not alone down there. We are seeking capable adventurers willing to investigate these hidden hollows and clear out whatever creatures have made them their home. If possible, recover any belongings left behind by those who were less fortunate. Mind your footing. The snow may not be as solid as it looks.	Characters fall into or deliberately investigate a concealed pit beneath the snow. They must deal with whatever inhabits the hollow before finding a way back to the surface -- including Ice Moles, which are blind, aggressive, and about the size of a small child.	2,100 Moon Coins, any items left behind by civilians
Old Fat Spider Spinning In a Tree CW/TW: Spiders	We've been studying those new winter crystals questers are bringing in. There are Frost Spiders using them as lures! What we don’t understand is why -- they’ve never gone after people as prey before. We sent a few people out to investigate, but they haven’t come back. It’s getting more dangerous out there and we need some help.	People taking up this quest will need to venture deeper into the Wolf's Blood Mountains. The spiders are not as aggressive as the posting makes them seem but they will stalk and attack any adventurers that linger around for too long and will flee once injured. This quest connects to the Like the Crystal of Diamonds It Appeared quest and can be triggered by finding Frost Spiders there and following them into the mountains.	3,150 Moon Coins, monster parts that can be used in potions

The Gloomweaver CW/TW: Spiders	So the Frost Spiders are going into the tunnels? There's a story about that, where adventurers going inside will find the tunnels lead into a dark cavern system lined with silk and crystal bait. The Gloomweaver is an ancient winter spider that manipulates lesser spiders. If it's real, that means it has been using the crystal lures to build a massive feeding network. We have to stop it!	This quest only unlocks when enough frost spiders are killed or driven off and the tunnels become accessible. The ancient spider uses blinding crystal reflections, web traps, swarm summoning, and durable silk barriers to defend itself. During the fight the Gloomweaver collapses sections of webbing, forcing players to break crystals to destabilize the spider’s lair. Destroying the crystal network weakens the Gloomweaver enough to defeat it.	6,500 Moon Coins, Gloom Silk (can be used to craft defensive items)

Like the Crystal of Diamonds It Appeared CW/TW: Spiders	People near the Half-Frozen Lake have started to notice strange crystalline objects embedded in patches of frozen ground and trees, like diamonds caught in ice after a heavy frost, along with increased spider activity. We need some people out here to help gather some of these objects for study. The locals have taken to calling them ‘winter crystals’ but we don’t really know what they are.	The objects are stuck in the ice like gemstones. Some of them are surrounded by spider webbing and almost seem like they have been placed deliberately. Examination of the positioning of the objects and webbing will reveal that the placement is part of some kind of pattern. This quest is connected to the Old Fat Spider Spinning in a Tree and The Gloomweaver quests, so characters may trigger those quests as well if players want to add on a battle.	300 Moon Coins per gemstone
Sky Whale of a Tale	The annual Sky Orca migration is beautiful, isn't it? After past years got too dangerous for civilians to see it in person, we'd like people to go out into the Winter Segment and take photos and videos of the migrating pods.	Characters who have already bonded with Sky Orcas in the past, or anyone who looks interesting to the orcas, may have them approach for pets and food. While the quest is just for photos of any sort, those who meet and socialize with the orcas may be granted their gifts.	1,000 Moon Coins (for photos), Cloud Bed or Cloud Blanket (from the orcas if interacted with positively)

Bone Migration	Skeletons of wildlife around the Spring Segment have been overtaken by flower vines reanimating them. We looked into this and it looks like these are tiny flower fairies using bones to appear like bigger creatures. They're trying to migrate back to the reopened Fairy Kingdom and could use someone to guard them.	Spring monsters of any type may attack the fairies during their migration, so questers will need to defend them.	2,000 Moon Coins
It's Raining Monsters	The winds of the Spring Segment bring weird things in sometimes, and this time it's rainclouds that rain down water creatures we're calling Paindrops. They're orbs only about the size of a baseball, but they come down in big groups and it hurts when they hit you!	The squishy water creatures rain down from the sky, bounce high, and try to jump on and mob anyone they see as in their way. They are immune to fire, and water attacks just make them bigger and stronger, but they're highly vulnerable to sunlight and electrical magic.	3,500 Moon Coins
Petals and Thorns	A patch of enchanted flora has grown wildly out of control in the Cherry Blossom Parks. What began as a rare bloom has spread aggressively, and the plants are defending their territory with surprising force. Gardeners have already been driven out. We’re asking for assistance clearing the worst of the growth so the wardens can safely reclaim the grounds. Bring gloves if you value your fingers.	The area is overrun with hostile, aggressive animate flowers with thorny vines, and the plants will defend themselves with pollen clouds and rapidly spreading, spiky growth.	1,700 Moon Coins

Keep Out of Water	Paindrops are basically just living blobs of water, so someone tried to wash them away with more water... That didn't really work. Be careful if they get near water!	This boss only appears when Paindrops are fought either with water magic or near a water source. Paindrops will absorb water and become larger and stronger, but their vulnerabilities to electricity and sunlight will be more prominent.	6,500 Moon Coins

All for Sap	In the Fairy Kingdom's gardens, a species of Fluffy Dragonflies live. These little creatures (no bigger than your average house cat), tend to eat sap out of the sweetest of flowers and even beehives with their long, long tongue. Your mission would be to follow them around and gather the sap that is left behind when they're done with the flowers, as their saliva makes the sap medicinal (cures seasonal allergies and the flu).	Questers are warned to be careful, though, because the Fluffy Dragonflies might attack characters with their tongues if they disturb them before they're done with the meal. And it tickles a lot. They also have really sharp claws they might accidentally hurt people with.	500 Moon Coins, Allergy Medication
Moon, Balloon	It's the time of year where Giant Butterflies ferry people to and from the Cherry Blossom Parks to gather flower petals for potion ingredients! This year, strange monsters have been appearing in the path, so watch out for those as you fly... but they don't look all that dangerous.	Balloonimals are balloon animals that fly around in the wind. They will try to get in people's way as they fly, but they're just balloons so their "attacks" do nothing and they're easily swatted away (or popped). The cherry blossoms from the Cherry Blossom Parks can be used in medicine to prolong life, unlike the ones in Blossomcrown, because of the life magic in the soil.	800 Moon Coins

Faerie Fire	Some mischievous fae have placed fairy circles around the Cherry Blossom Parks and are teleporting people to random locations all over Ellipsa. They need to be deconstructed from the outside by picking enough of the mushrooms that form them to break the circle. Be careful, though!	Characters who step, fall, or even lean too far into the circle while it's still intact will be teleported to a random location anywhere on the map (aside from the Liar's Mansion, which is still currently plot-restricted). Hope they've got a way to get back.	500 Moon Coins

Heat Haze	Caravans crossing the Lava-Ridden Land have reported strange figures appearing in the heat shimmer along the horizon. At first they looked like mirages. Unfortunately, the injuries they leave behind are very real. We suspect something has learned to hunt within the distortion of the heat. Until we know what it is, escorts are being requested for caravans traveling the route. Try not to chase every shadow you see.	Combat with Heatshades, predatory creatures in the shape of large dogs with elongated limbs that appear and disappear within heat distortions. Visibility may shift; the creatures may briefly vanish or split into illusions.	3,000 Moon Coins
Mimic See, Mimic Do	There's a bunch of stuff dumped around the Deserter's Desert. When a crew went to clean up the litter, it turned out they were all Mimics! But those are Autumn monsters! They must have wandered too far east.	Mimics can disguise themselves as all kinds of objects, and a few may also try to imitate other monsters.	2,000 Moon Coins
Prickly, Aren't They?	Flying Cacti are dangerous plant monsters that attack from the air and "hug" people with their deadly poisonous needles. But in order to cure people they've poisoned, we need someone to take out the cacti and bring back the flowers that grow on them, which contain the antidote.	Being poisoned by the cacti needles feels like burning up from the inside. The pain will spread from where the needle hits and slowly incapacitate the person, giving the cacti a chance to escape. The Spring dragon-blessed "cure illness" power can manage the poison, and Summer's poison immunity can usually work (up to player discretion if the character is still somewhat affected).	3,500 Moon Coins

You're Me, I'm Me	Some of the people down at the desert mentioned the Mimic Lord's back too, turning into giant versions of the people it encounters. Watch out, it can copy your powers!	The Mimic Lord is originally a tiny imp that emerges from the Darkness and turns into a 10-metre-tall version of the first person who attacks it, complete with powers. It is native to the Summer Segment and more used to the heat, but avoids bodies of water; if it sees its reflection, it will revert to its original form and try to run away.	7,000 Moon Coins

Dazed and Confused CW/TW: Auditory hallucinations, mild amnesia	Travellers passing through the Deserter’s Desert are reporting suddenly walking in circles, hearing strange echoes, and forgetting why they are there or where they were going. It’s causing problems with gathering; would somebody come and try to find out what’s wrong and get some samples of whatever caused it for study?	The area contains a flower whose pollen causes temporary sensory confusion. Sample gathering must take place while navigating the effects of the pollen, but the longer people remain in proximity the worse the effects become.	700 Moon Coins base pay, 200 more per sample
Funny Bunny	Ever since some explorers took Happy Bunnies home, they've been getting absolutely everywhere. Some of them wandered out of the city through the gate to the Summer Segment and started looking for treasure who knows where. Try and bring them back safely!	The Happy Bunnies can be found anywhere they think treasure is... so basically all over the Segment. They might actually find something good, but "treasure" is in the eye of the beholder.	1,000 Moon Coins

Shedding Support Group	It's shedding season... including for dragons. The dragons down in the Dragon Sanctuary could use some help. They can't really go out for supplies much when they're shedding, and they'll need support with the process too. They always used to give us their scales in return when our ancestors helped them in the past.	Scales will be given in exchange for things like lotion, food, water, humidity, or any other support characters can give that would help a dragon when they're shedding. The scales can be taken to an armourer and forged into strong armour.	Dragon Scales

Big, Big Frog	So someone may have left an Enlarge potion unattended long enough for an Almighty Frog to drink it, and now there's a massive frog hopping about. We don't want to hurt it too badly, but it needs to be contained before it flattens everything!	The frog has grown to the size of a house and needs to be peacefully subdued from its tantrum. Even once the potion's effects time out, there may still be some doses left in the bottle or other bottles left by careless adventurers, so this quest can still recur.	1,000 Moon Coins
Dig Up Some Dirt CW/TW: Mind control (not of PCs)	We haven't heard too much from the Mushroom Fae since foiling their plan to force people to dig and build for them. But it looks like they're digging outside of their usual territory. Check it out and make sure they're not doing anything suspicious.	This is a stealth mission. The Mushroom Fae have been expanding their tunnel complex, and for lack of humans to control, they're now controlling Jack o'Lanterns to dig for them. Characters can find that they're building out from the Mushroom Sanctuary northwest toward the nearest airship station. Mushroom Fae will run away if they spot characters doing recon and will compel the Jack o'Lanterns to attack them.	1,000 Moon Coins
Gator Later CW/TW: Undead monsters, threat of being eaten	Algaegators and Undead Alligators are fighting over territory in the Flooded Woods. Whoever wins, explorers lose, so try and fight them all off to make the area safer!	Undead Alligators are some of the undead water monsters previously seen in the Flooded Woods. They're basically zombie alligators that eat anything organic, while Algaegators absorb what they eat into their bodies.	4,000 Moon Coins

Baiter Gator CW/TW: Undead monsters, threat of being eaten	The worst-case scenario is if an Algaegator absorbs an Undead Alligator. Who knows what undead mishmash that could create?	This boss only appears if an Algaegator successfully consumes an Undead Alligator while questers are fighting them both. The Algaegator will grow larger and exhibit zombie-like features like patches of flesh and bone, and will grow as strong as the strongest Algaegators (so an 8 on a scale of 10).	8,000 Moon Coins

Preserving the Flowers	Throughout the Autumn Segment, the Flower Horses are shedding their flower-like mane. The flowers they leave behind are beautiful and work well with different kind of art forms and are even used to make beautiful color-changing dyes. If you're a kind person, you may even be able to help the horses by combing their mane as it does get very itchy.	Flower Horses can be found roaming anywhere in the Autumn Segment within reason (not underwater, for example). They migrate from Segment to Segment, and the flowers on their manes change depending on where they are.	500 Moon Coins, Horse Flowers
Seems Kind of Seedy	There used to be trees in the Flooded Woods whose seeds could instantly grow new trees. Their seeds were found in an expedition a while back, so maybe the trees still exist? Try and find some seeds!	The seeds are most easily found in trees that have old treehouses and things in and around them, as the trees shed the seeds and they'll land on something. Eating the insta-grow seeds is frowned upon.	750 Moon Coins

Ain't No Party Like A Skeleton Party	The Dancing Skeletons are back home in the Autumn Segment, and they're certainly letting everybody know it. They've come into the Abandoned Mansion and turned it into a day-and-night rager... much to the chagrin of the ghosts trying to prank them! Someone needs to try and settle this down.	The Dancing Skeletons are partying with loud music, dancing, and occasional property damage, while the ghosts are striking back with jumpscares, door slamming, and chain rattling. Characters who can communicate with monsters are best, but anyone can attempt to broker an understanding, even if it ends up with charades.	500 Moon Coins, hastily printed "I Helped Get The Ghosts Some Peace And Quiet" novelty T-shirt (charmed to block out noise when worn)

A Jones for Discovery	We have a charm that will help find whatever you're looking for, and we'd like people to test it out! But you need to charge it first. The way you do that is to try something new in bed that you haven't done before. Feeling adventurous?	The charm is attached to a bracelet that the person can wear while charging it.	Find-It Charm
May Day Mayday	We've just learned of a great otherworlder holiday, May Day, and the red light district is eager to celebrate! Come practise your pole skills at participating clubs.	Yep, they've tried to import the holiday and thought way too much about the pole, so it's turned into a strip club celebration. Characters are urged to incorporate the ribbons atop the maypole/stripper pole into their routines.	1,000 Moon Coins

City Crime Quests
This questboard on an app on the phone and is only unlockable if your character has received a (handwaved) code for it from one of the crime organizations or just criminals of Nightwake. Another way is to hack your way in if you know it exists.
You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonably way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.
Should players doing these quests wish for IC consequences, they may report their character here - or just assume that NPC law enforcement characters are on a lookout for them.

Go find it for us, because we sure don't want some other gang getting it first -- or the cops.	More than one gang has given this missive, so criminal characters can either be working together on this quest or fight each other for the files.	5,000 Moon Coins
You Could've Just Gotten A Hamster	The exotic pet trade turns to us when rich idiots decide they want to take home some monster no one with a brain would keep as a pet. That's where you come in. We got the cages, so go catch something on this list without hurting it -- they'll pay the most money if it's unharmed.	The illegal pets requested are all medium-danger monsters from different Segments: a Mime Monster, an Immortal Crab, a Cacti Bird, and a Storm Surfer. The quest giver supplies emotion cages to trap the monsters in, which nullify their powers and will let characters take them back to town (emotion cages can be broken with the opposite emotion than what the character was feeling when they created it or with love, so try not to use something a monster might reasonably feel).	2,000 Moon Coins per captured monster

🏙️I Wish I Mayo: Rinku is working hard to improve her cooking, so she'll happily experiment with mayo flavours! Just... maybe talk her out of the first weird thing that comes to mind.

Katsura's Seasonal magic is still a work in progress, but he's very good with sword and he also throws bombs! If you want your character saving the day that can absolutely be arranged too~

🏬 Some Like It Hot - Katsura will sign up for this because he THINKS he can handle spice. He can not.

❄️ Like the Crystal of Diamonds It Appeared - a nice, safe gathering quest... :) (he will need some Experienced power users with him if it ends up triggering the boss battle...)
❄️ Sky Whale of a Tale - sounds very cute, he'll want to see it!

🌷 Bone Migration - defense is his specialty! He can probably come up with a whole Plan to escort the fairies safely (and your character gets to actually do the dirty work...)
🌷 All for Sap/Moon, Balloon - yay gathering quests!

🌞 Funny Bunny - cute bunny rescue operation! You know he's gotta.
🌞 Shedding Support Group - he'll be a bit scared but believe it's important to foster good relations with the dragons!

🍂 Preserving the Flowers - HE WILL COMB THE CUTE HORSES YES

Levi has been a bit nerfed by permanent injuries but he's still a damn powerhouse, both regarding regular combat abilities and Seasonal powers. He often does the more dangerous, high-paying quests, though it's less careless risks and more the fact that he knows he can handle them. He's also willing to mentor or escort less experienced adventurers!

🏬 A Very Specific Request/I Wish I Mayo - this is way below his usual pay rate and he will literally only do this to fuck with Hijikata lmao.

❄️ Enjoy Your Trip - he has some very handy equipment for sudden falls.
❄️ Sky Whale of a Tale - maybe the cloud blanket will help him sleep...

🌷 It's Raining Monsters/Keep Out of Water - just because it would be funny to me if he accidentally makes them stronger. (: He does have electric daggers to course correct!

🌞 Heat Haze - it sounds like Winter temperature control should help here!
🌞 Prickly, Aren't They? - he can probably manage this without getting poisoned but if you'd like your Spring to treat him, I'm down!
🌞 Mimic See, Mimic Do/You're Me, I'm Me - just because A GIANT LEVI BOSS MONSTER would be utterly terrifying. Hence, why not?!

🍂 Gator Later/Baiter Gator - he has been to the Flooded Woods at least twice exploring, so he knows the lay of land in addition to his fighting skills!
🍂 Seems Kind of Seedy - this is under his paygrade but he has in fact been part of the expedition mentioned in the writeup and feel compelled to investigate!

💰 Grab 'n' Go - he will use the gangs' support to find said files... will he actually turn them over to them once he finds it, though? Most likely not. 8)
