Questboard: August-September
LOGS | NETWORK | OOC | MEMES | NAVIGATION
Quest Mingle! This post is for plotting!
• These quests are valid from start of August until end of September.
• Characters don't need to be a member of the guild to do quests and anyone can do any segment's quest! The quests are just marked this way to show where the quests are taking place.
• City Location Details | Segment Location details
• Remember to keep distances (it takes 2 weeks on foot to get to the barriers from the bridges) in mind when planning what quests to do when. You have two full months, so there's no rush!
• For some of the monsters, additional details can be found from the Beastiary.
• Rewards are for one completion of the Quest, but characters can do it multiple times to earn more money from them, as the problems do repeat.
• Please see the guild page for permanent quests.
Please Note that any of the locations can still be separately explored, as there is more to the places that can initially be seen.
Also prices are lower this time, due to the last mission giving so much money and no high risk quests this time.

Dead Trees Tell No Lies CW/TW: violence, creepy trees | The streets aren't safe at night. Lately, trees have been growing around street lamps. No one's thought too much about it, since they still work and give light when needed. However lately people have been reported to have been beaten up and they're always found nearby those lamps. I swear I saw one of those street lamps flicker eerily one night when I walked past. My one saving grace was that I wasn't traveling by foot, I suppose. | The trees are a new type of monster called the Twigster. They're monsters born from plants and trees that have been abandoned by their caretakers and now they seek vengeance on everyone. Traveling by foot underneath them in the dark is a sure way to get them to attack. During the day they're unable to move and can be taken out, but a new one will surely appear in the same spot soon before the night falls. They usually attack by using their dead looking branches as weapons, but one of the victims said they were also strangled (he was carrying a flower he had ripped off the soil). | 1000 Moon Coins |
It's a Beautiful Day in the Village | Help! Some new type of monster has manifested in the park and water areas of the city! They're some kind of a mix of a cobra and a chicken and they keep pecking at people's ankles and running around making noise with different items. And they keep stealing our stuff! Help us get rid off this cobra chicken menace and get our stuff back! | The "cobra chicken" are actually a group of geese. Just regular geese that cause (harmless?) havoc around the city natural spots. They have hideouts filled with stolen stuff... and a lot of bells? Anyone who can talk to animals and asks them why they do it they will just loudly HONK at them and give no reason... or worse, start carrying a kitchen knife they found. | 500 Moon Coins |
Security Tests | The main art gallery in Amberfall is installing a new security system and they want people to help them test it. That's right, they're asking people to sneak into the gallery at night to see how well the security works. Of course no one should go stealing anything, but maybe leave a mark somewhere to signal if they got past it or not. Just don't make the mark on the art pieces themselves. | The art gallery security has both regular traps like laser hallways that trigger the alarm, pressure plates that drop down cages to trap anyone and security cameras. There are also magical sort of traps, such as fake art that spews out different magical powders (sleep, paralyze, freeze). There are also security bots that patrol the general hallways and exhibits. Luckily, they're not very wise yet, as hiding behind conveniently shaped statues will throw them off. The traps and placements change during the two months the quest is ongoing as they test the best ones. | 800 Moon Coins |

Cutting it Short CW/TW: dead bodies | When we were at the Frozen Lake, we discovered a cave no one had mapped before. It was on the far west corner of the lake. We didn't dare to follow it, but we made notes of it. Could it be a safer route to the new areas, since otherwise you'd need to pass the werewolf territory? I think someone should go and see where it leads. | The cave leads to two different direction. One that goes up brings characters straight into the Wolf's Blood Mountain, but there's a translucent ice wall blocking the way (it was made to stop werewolves from coming out that way). There are, however, some human remains on the ground behind the wall, as the wall has effectively blocked people from exiting the mountain that way, leaving them at the mercy of the werewolves. The other direction, straight to west, takes characters straight to the pier on the east shore of the sea. Depending on one's luck characters might find three different things on the pier: 1. lazy, but very friendly, Ice Seals that will just doze on the pier, 2. vicious and bloodthirsty Frost Bats that attack immediately when someone emerges from the cave (they attack with icicles straight to face) or 3. Cacticicles, a species of white cacti whose spikes are made out of icicles, pretending to be just normal cacti with eyes and mouths. They only attack if someone sees them moving. | 1000 Moon Coins |
Restoring the Hope CW/TW: possible death | Forest of the Lost Souls was a place I could meet my dear husband after he departed this world. It's been fifteen years since I last had a chance to see his face, so I would very much like to return there. However, the dragons warned it might be 'corrupted' so I wish to ask the new kind power holders to investigate the place before I dare to make the trip there. We used to use the Forest of Spirits as an entrance point, as they are connected. Please, if there is even a small chance I can visit him again. | Upon walking into the Forest of Spirits, the spirits there will grant access to the Forest of the Lost Souls as they used to, but the place can also be reached from just traveling to the forest entrance. Upon setting foot into the forest a gentle mist will appear, making the place look like it's in the middle of the clouds. There the characters will meet someone they lost (or just miss from home) - or their spirit. They don't talk, but their motions and expressions are exactly the same. However, as the Forest of the Lost Souls has also been corrupted by the Darkness, anyone who stays inside for too long may also lose their corporeal form and become just a spirit. It starts with losing their voice (at half an hour) and then parts of their body become translucent from feet up. The whole progress takes two hours to complete (from losing their voice) and will be interrupted if they get out of the forest - however it may take a whole day for their voice to return. Those who completely lose their corporeal form will end up dying. The spirits are oblivious to this and will just try to keep them with them with gentle ghostly hugs and cuddles. | 1000 Moon Coins |
Yo Ho Yo Ho CW/TW: ghouls, attempts at eating humans | There's something that needs to be confirmed as quickly as possible: what happened to the pirates. So I'm asking for adventurers to investigate either the Survival Fortress or the Guard Tower. The most likely scenario is that they're all long gone, but maybe they found a way to survive? The Darkness might not have reached the underground, does it? Make sure you're fully equipped to fight, since from what we've heard the pirates were nasty. | Those who choose to go to the Survival Fortress will find a perfectly intact settlement. The walls have kept the place safe from rampaging monsters. It looks closer to something like a viking settlement than a pirate one. There doesn't seem to be anyone living there. Just the ghouls that were formally the pirates there. The ghouls are very hungry and wish to eat anyone who comes even close to then. They're fairly resistant, but with enough violence they die. Those headed for the Guard Tower will find a very ruined tower by the edge of the sea. There's not much there to be seen, other than a hatch that seems to be going down to a cellar. A cellar full of alcohol and some very, very drunk yetis (not to be mistaken with Giant Yetis, these Drunk Yeti are fairly small and clumsy... but their hits still hurt). | 2000 Moon Coins |
Spring Segment
Breezing through quests [ Click to Expand ]
Quest Name | Description | OOC Notes | Rewards |
---|---|---|---|
Hit the Road, Jack | One of the ways to know that nature is doing well when old species of fauna start appearing on the lands again. Where have they been? How did they survive the Darkness? We don't know, but perhaps by studying the life of one very introverted species will let us find some knowledge on this for possible future emergencies. It's called the Jackalope, a mixture between a rabbit and an antelope. They're very elusive, but are very weak to the taste of fresh vegetables. You don't need to capture the Jackalope, just observe them to maybe find out where they go to hide. | Following the Jackalope will take a lot of patience and being sneaky. They will be wary of strangers who could be carnivores, so those able to change into fellow herbivores might have a better chance at getting close without scaring them. Those able to follow them will find an underground communities in various part of the segment. There's fresh water and greens preserved with Jackalope magic stored there, perfect for hiding from scary things - like the Darkness. The places don't lead anywhere important, but it's good to note that it seems that the places are untouched by the Darkness. | 1000 Moon Coins |
Reclaiming Lands | The Spring Segment has always been known for these little settlements that weren't big enough to make it to the map. They were quickly abandoned when bigger, better settlements were built or when monsters took over the areas. Now that the segments are more secure, it's time to reclaim them. Help us bring personnel and supplies to these settlements - and possibly chase away unwanted monsters. | The settlements (or very tiny villages with no names) are all over the spring segment. They're usually a little damaged, so rebuilding homes and facilities is one of the important tasks, along with setting up barrier stones and chasing out various monsters (found from the Bestiary). Those who help around a lot may get the right to name a settlement! Or it will be sneakily named after them. | 2000 Moon Coins |
Sing Me a Song | As a magic nerd, I'm curious about the magic that's connected to music. That's why it would be interesting to get documents that relate to this. Since the Village of Songs is once again accessible, maybe there's something there? Surely they left some behind before abandoning the village? I just hope it wasn't destroyed by the Darkness. But it's worth a look right? | The Village of Song looks like a classic abandoned village, with houses in ruins and overgrown fields of different vegetables and flowers. There's no signs of actually written documents, but there are tablets made of stone that have various different musical notes to them. However, the stone tablets are protected by sentient stone blocks that have arms that try to grab anyone who touches them and throw them into the distance (mostly to the very dead looking trees outside the village). They're otherwise peaceful. They can be broken with magic shots straight into the gemstone stuck... somewhere on their body. | 1000 Moon Coins |

Caught in a Whirl | The Great Ocean Lake is even bigger than we thought (and we thought it was very big)! It has a whole new section! However it looks like there's some strange whirlpools that hinder investigations. There must be a reason these whirlpools exist! Getting rid of them or past them is the key to exploring the new part of the lake ... and the city stuck in the middle of them. | The lower Great Ocean Lake looks very similar to the main part, even if it's not as deep and there are no mermaids or sirens living there. The whirlpools are caused by sea monsters called Killer Crabs. They're killer whale-sized crabs that have four claws; two of the claws are attached to a chain made of crab shells. They use these extra claws to whirl them around like a lasso, making the whirlpools happen constantly. They also use them to fight. Otherwise they're pretty much like normal crabs, in terms of sturdiness. | 2000 Moon Coins |
Desserts in the Desert | Why is the desert called that? Are there actually desserts to be found there? I'm an aspiring dessert chef, and of course I want to know all about various desserts. So of course a place that's called the Des(s)ert of Illusions has my utmost attention. Please go and see if there is actually something delicious there. | The De(s)ert of Illusions will make illusions of anyone's desires upon entering. Craving that mac and cheese? Here's a humongous portion right in front you. They're not really anything dangerous, especially if someone has a decent amount of resistance to illusions. However, there are creatures called the Gourmet Golems (made of stone that looks like konpeito candy) that love to eat these illusions... and the people who see them. They're luckily rather weak to any sort of water and earth magic. The real prize is getting to the various oases. Along with a beautiful water spot with fresh, cold water there are also palm trees full of ... various pastries. They're real and they really grow in palm trees like coconuts. There's everything from cookies to even wedding cakes and all of them are safe for consumption. Anyone curious about the blue crystals will find (disappointedly) that they don't (currently) do anything. They can be mined and brought back but they seem like regular sapphire. | 1000 Moon Coins |
It Burns, Burns, Burns | I'm curious about the grass that's lit in flames but doesn't seem to burn. So, I wish that people deliver me samples. If it doesn't burn the grass, it won't burn a bag! So get my some flaming grass and I will reward you! | Picking up some of the flaming grass and putting it in a bag doesn't seem to be a problem at all! However, once someone does that they'll be chased around by a group of cackling Flame Mane Hyenas that are attracted to the fire. Especially, for some reason, fire that has been picked up. Their biggest attacks are their laughs that will make people want to start laughing as well and their fiery mane... along with claws and sharp teeth, of course. | 1000 Moon Coins |
Autumn Segment
Maple scented Quests [ Click to Expand ]
Quest Name | Description | OOC Notes | Rewards |
---|---|---|---|
Mystery of the Crystals CW/TW: slight body horror, partial possession | The dragons said that the crystals that appeared in the south of the Autumn and Summer Segments weren't there before. It sort of makes sense for the Autumn to have them, since the Crystal Mines are there, but I've never heard of any so big. If possible, I'd to get some samples. I can provide people with the necessary mining tools that you can keep afterwards. Starting with the Autumn ones first, since they're closer to what could be the "source". Just be careful. | The red crystals glow an eerie light. Just looking at them feels like a bad idea, but nothing actually happens from it. Should any living being touch the crystal, however, they will be engulfed in a red light. The glow will be absorbed by the being and a part of their body receives a red gem. This gives the living being the ability to use an ability that temporary (for ten minutes or so) nulls all magic around them (even their own), but the ability uses their energy, making them extremely weak and vulnerable with each use. The gem will occasionally take over the being and activate the power on its own. Only transferring the power to another living being, death or forcefully tearing the gem out of their body will return the being to normal. Touching the crystal with mining tools or (for example) mechanic limbs is safe, but it will work through clothing. A sturdy box may be needed to carry a sample anywhere. | 2000 Moon Coins |
Something Smells Fishy | Every since I heard about the gigantic shipwreck in the Autumn Segment I've been so curious as to what could be inside of it. There's no way I'll be strong enough to go there, so I was hoping someone could go investigate for me instead. It might be dangerous, so practice caution. | The Giga Shipwreck is a home to a group of monsters that look humanoid, but are otherwise completely like fish (so they're called Fishfolk). Unfortunately they're territorial and aggressive and will try to stab anyone coming closer with spears. They're easy to drag away from the ship by making them chase someone, letting people explore the shipwreck... which is basically looking like a small market street filled with items found from the bottom of the sea (at least on this part of the ship). There's a 1/100 chance to find a rare gold coin that can be used to fling at enemies for some major physical damage (or sold for 10,000 Moon Coins, if you'd rather). There's no big visual effect when the coin hits someone, they just lose a huge amount of health and get a coin mark on wherever it lands. There are multiples of this coin in existence. | 1000 Moon Coins, possible Gold Coin, other treasure |
The Amusement Park of Your Nightmares CW/TW: horror | The Abandoned Amusement Park. To think a place like that exists. I'm someone who has been planning on building an actual amusement park, so I would very much like to know what kind of rides there are and if any of them could be salvaged for use. However, I'm not adventurer and shouldn't go there in person. If anyone could do this investigation for me, I would be grateful. | The simple explanation here is that the place is very, very haunted. The spirits and ghosts have possessed rides and mascots, even animatronics, and some skeletons hang around in silly hats sipping (??) nothing from soda cups, pretending to be humans (mockingly). The tunnel of love is looking more like a torture ride with the fake swan boats looking battered and bruised. Your imagination is the limit. Come up with rides, mascots and build the park as you wish. | 1000 Moon Coins |

Make out Makeup | Our company has finally finished its new line of makeup! This makeup will make kissing feel heavenly and make you want more, even longer and even more passionate. Who knows maybe you will get even lucky with this makeup! We have both those suitable for some heavy makeup or just small touch ups. One of them is even just a moisturizing cream. Test our product and get a free set. We'll throw in a regular set of makeup of your choice too. | The makeup works as advertised, making the person who wears it feel like they want to kiss anyone near vicinity. Of course the effect spreads through touch, even if it's less potent on the one who gets a secondary effect. The kisses will feel extra euphoric if two people are wearing the same brand of makeup. | Makeup |
Sensual Massage | I think otherworlders need some relaxation after all of the efforts these past months. So I'm opening a workshop where you can learn some magical massage. This spell will help anyone relax no matter how tense their body is. It will surely make anyone feel good. The effect is enhanced depending on how much the pair trusts each other. Applying some massage oil may also yield interesting results, especially if you're fine with things going sexual. | Private rooms will be provided for people who want to test the magic at the workshop and they can be locked if they wish to use some oil, which will slowly and gently arouse anyone who touches it. The spell is simple: calling the person who they're massaging a good boy or a good girl as they start massaging. | Massage Spell |

You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonably way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.
Should players doing these quests wish for IC consequences, they may report their character here - or just assume that NPC law enforcement characters are on a lookout for them.

Prison Break CW/TW: possession | We heard The Doctor is still imprisoned in the jail. So we want him to be busted out. He's one of the people who will bring our world into a new era. He was wrongly locked up. He... aahhh. My head. Someone is trying to control my-- Help. I don't wish for any of this, I- Free the Doctor, bring a new beginning. [This particular quest has been posted several times with similar messages that have slight differences.] | Options for this particular quest are to find the people who are trying to control the people who post these quests or to actually go with the plan and try to free the Doctor. Doing option one will lead them to finding different clues about them through the app, eventually leading them to the darkest corners of the Central Nightwake district. They will find the culprits, but they will try to use mind control on those who come for them the same way - and then manipulate them against others who do as well. The group is called the Nightshade and they're devoted to destruction and Darkness. Meanwhile option two will need to be plotted out with Harrison if someone really wants to have a go at it. This will, however, completely make the character untrusted by all of our current major NPCs. | 10 000 Moon Coins for Option 1 (from the Law Enforcement), 12 000 Moon Coins for option 2 (from the Nightshade) |
Taking Advantage | So, you know how the giant art gallery in Amberfall is testing their security functions and telling people not to actually steal anything? I say fuck that. Steal me some art. Any art will do, I will find them a buyer! | The security measures are as described in the "Security Test" and the more people manage to actually steal art, the more tough the consequences for getting caught will be. At first it's community service for a week, then three weeks, then for two months and then finally a month of jail time. | 5000 Moon Coins |

Aimoto Rinku | D4DJ (Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) | Summer
Name: Jisu
Contact: jisusushi @ Plurk, sanajisu @ Discord
Character
Name: Aimoto Rinku
Season: Summer
Quests: Rinku is going in for a canon update from the 7th-8th, but after that, she'll be open for both exploration groups and quests. Quests that I'm interested in for her include:
Dead Trees Tell No Lies - She might end up doing this by chance just because she was out too late.
It's a Beautiful Day in the Village - Definitely going to get chased by geese, Hina the Zubat will probably try to bite them. At least she can get people's stuff back?
Reclaiming Lands - Rinku is not an expert at construction. But she's gonna try. Sorry if you have to redo work she screwed up.
Sing Me a Song - Come on, she's from a music canon, I can't not.
Caught in a Whirl - Rinku has both a Mermaid Necklace and a fish transformation, she is all for this. Too bad you can't really use fire underwater.
Desserts in the Desert - While the Gourmet Golems have a type advantage against Rinku so a Winter or Autumn helping her out would be good, I can't resist having her chase after illusory donuts. Or getting actual donuts off the trees in an oasis. She'll share.
Something Smells Fishy - Be warned, she will get distracted by all the cool stuff. Sea creatures and treasure?
Prison Break - On the investigation side! Rinku's displayed the ability to resist psychic attacks, but she'll probably fall to the possession and spend the whole time struggling until someone breaks her out of it.

Name: Himeko Inaba
Season: Autumn
Quests:
Outside of quests, Inaba will most likely, either late this month or the following month be exploring the Lost City of Memories, so keep that in mind for any quests you want to do with her!
She is also a seasoned airship pilot at this point, and is willing to take people to and from the Segments safely for 100 Moon Coins per person.
Security Tests - Inaba is absolutely here for this and will probably ask if she can actually test parts of the system herself through other angles, as she is, in fact a computer programmer and an analyst, so she's willing to assist with leaving a rather detailed map with all the blind spots as well as things that work and don't work from both a mundane perspective and a potential supernatural perspective. Also since this quest is also tied to Taking Advantage, Inaba is willing to catch people in the act of stealing if you need that. :)
The Amusement Park of Your Nightmares - Inaba's actually someone who's dealt with a lot of amusement related stuff (she's from Yokohama, which is known for Cosmo World) and has definitely been to various others in California during her time in the SCP World.
These are the ones I'm most interested in, and while I have some vague interest in the NSFW Quests, Inaba Would Not, so if anybody wants to figure out ways to push her towards that direction be my guest. I'm also open to other quests too, but she would generally not go do many of the dangerous ones as she is a bit Traumatized From Last Month(tm) and is trying to play things close to her chest and relatively safe. She can get dragged into things, however, so there's that.
stelle 🌠 honkai star rail 🌠 spring
Name: Stelle
Season: Spring
Quests:
As a reminder, outside of quests, Stelle is going with a relatively big exploration group to the Temple of Death on the 8th! We are currently at 9 out of 10 sign ups (as of this writing) so we have room for one more. Please make sure to sign up properly at the OOC post by tomorrow (8/6) so I can count you, otherwise you won't be included in the group. Thanks!
Because of that, most of Stelle's quest-related things will either be happening early in the month, in the back half of the month, or leading into September.
Dead Trees Tell No Lies - Stelle is very much a I Am Awake At Any Hour kind of person as needed (don't worry, she gets sleep) so she's willing to beat up some trees as needed. Maybe even making attempts to find the root cause to all this might be a thing.
It's a Beautiful Day in the Village - This is probably no different from herding Trotters so she's actually good at this... although she will have to confiscate their kitchen knives...
Sing Me a Song - Stelle's Harmony path is very dance-oriented, but that doesn't mean that she can't sing! But can she read music sheets? Probably not, but she might key in on that and see if there's someone who can...?
It Burns, Burns, Burns - Stelle likes collecting things, so she'll actually get some of these for herself as well as the client. And again, she's very much a fighter, so. The hyenas will be fun to fight. (Even if she might get affected by the laughing...)
Desserts in the Desert - SO UH........GUESS WHO IS EXTREMELY PRONE TO ILLUSIONS and will need help?
Other than these, I'm willing to Grabby Hands on pretty much any and all quests, but these are the ones I'm especially interested in. Stelle is your local Quest Freak lmao... i'm so sorry...

That said, if someone he knows asks him to come along to the Forest of Lost Souls, he'll do it. They'll have to deal with his fear and clinging, though.
Spring Quests: He's help reclaim the scattered settlements (primarily by killing or driving out monsters and setting up Barrier Stones - he'll leave the repairs to the civilians!) and explore the Valley of Songs!
Summer Quests: Hijikata already wanted to explore all of these locations after flying over them with the dragons... I'll have to roll the dice to see which ones I'll have him focus on!
Autumn Quests: I'll likely send him mining (torn between whether I should get him gemified or not!) and exploring the giant shipwreck! He's scared of the abandoned amusement park; everyone knows that those are creepy as hell - but as usual, if someone he knows asks him go with them, he'll do it and try to hide his fear.
NSFW Quests: He's not the type for make-up, but he won't say no to a sensual massage (though he wouldn't have the guts to do it with a stranger, so he'd only do it with previous or current partners)!
Crime Quests: Oh boy. Of course, he'll try to hunt the Nightshade group down... but he has no defences against mind control, so if anyone wants to have a samurai cop turn against them, this is your chance!
Frieda Reiss | Attack on Titan | Spring
Name: Frieda Reiss
Season: Spring
Quests:
City Quests: Frieda will definitely tackle the art gallery's security challenge, that sounds fun! I'm torn between the other two, but tending towards the cobra chickens. She may just be in over her head with those, even if she knows what geese are...
Winter Quests: She'll explore the shortcut and the Forest of Lost Souls (the Survival Fortress sounds a little too dangerous, even with her titan powers)! In the forest, she'll likely see her uncle Uri. She and her companion can be affected by the corruption, too! I'm half tempted to ghostify her for good... but then I couldn't turn her into a titan anymore, so no.
Spring Quests: All of these are tempting for Frieda! She really wants to help reclaim the land out there (ironic, given her background), and the investigation and research quests are also up her alley. I'll see how it shakes out!
Summer Quests: These are all intriguing, too... since she isn't fireproof, Frieda will likely proritise the lower Great Ocean Lake and the Des(s)ert of Illusions!
Autumn Quests: She'll go get crystals (and I'm very tempted to get one embedded in her, whether only for the quest or for longer) and visit the abandoned amusement park - that sounds like such an interesting place!
NSFW & Crime Quests: She'll steer clear of anything related to crime and crime-fighting, but she'll be curious about those make-up and massage offers... but alas, in the end, she's more likely to chicken out.
