OOC Plotting: Going Gorgon
So, in monster-form related shenanigans- I'm finally planning on having Rider transform into Gorgon at the beginning of August after a very rapidly escalating clusterfuck kicked off by her Master Hijikata, and go on a rampage in Ellipsa. Because everyone needs a good giant snek boss fight in their lives, right?

Yes I'm using the form from Babylonia because it's cool don't @ me
So what's happening?
At the end of July, whilst visiting the Secret Getaway in the Spring Segment, Rider's going to get stuck between Ozymandias and Hijikata's spite-rivalry, and get Command Sealed into fighting the Pharaoh off. Things rapidly escalate (between trauma, bloodlust, pushing her power too far and getting rightfully pissed-), and she ends up turning into the monstrous Gorgon.
At which point, she'll petrify anyone she can in the nearby area (don't mind the nice Hijikata shaped statue left behind), and flee into the Summer Segment's Jungle of Judgement to set up camp in the hopes she will be left the hell alone, attacking natives and livestock and other monsters indiscriminately to deal with her body's increased need for mana- at least until she can set up her Blood Fort ritual that will drain mana over the area for her.
And well, the powers at be will soon catch wind of this and post a Quest at the start of August to the effect of 'So there's a giant snake monster out in the Segments that's been attacking people, please take it out thanks'.
Getting People Involved
So, the most obvious way to find her is to follow thehelpfully provided Quest markers Questboard and find her once she's reached the Jungle. Helpfully, there's also a teleport crystal in the area, to enable quick travel! Accidentally running into her on the way back from the Temple of Life is another option. In terms of how things play out, there's a few options:
Killing or subduing her are both valid options (maybe she will be the first Winter flower in that yard)! And likewise, if anyone wants their muses to get killed/injured/petrified in the collateral, they're more than welcome, and some shops do stock items to cure petrification at least...and I would love for her to have a chance to cause some real damage.

So, the most obvious way to find her is to follow the
- Once she's arrived but before she sets up the Blood Fort, if you want a particularly aggressive fight- she'll be in her most defensive/agitated/monstrous mindset. Have fun trying to calm her down/get into a nasty fight.
- After she's set up the Blood Fort, she'll be less aggressive, but also the area will be under an effect that drains mana/magical energy/strength over time. Maybe getting rid of those sigils will help...
- After all of that- she'll be low on energy and caused enough bloodshed/had people try to get through to her by this point that she'll be willing to get taken out.

I mean yes Evangeline is here to subdue!

She has got Evangeline on speed dial now for this exact situation, so she can either come to investigate once the quest goes live, or once Gorgon's a little calmer she might reach out to her herself- whichever works for you!

But yes calling her up like so...it happened...

She just died in her own player plot disaster so I don't want to put her CR through that again, but since she basically can't die except in highly specific circumstances that's not a problem.
Petrification... I'd have to see if someone would be okay curing it right away, if that's the case then potentially sure that can also happen.

Re: Petrification, in canon people with high enough magic resistance can to some degree fight their way through it, so that's an option too.

Fighting through the petrification sounds sort of awesome actually, since Saya is resistant to All The Things and canonically petrifies her own blood into blood-gem javelins to hurl at people during battles I could definitely see that her body could fight it. It would definitely slow her down substantially and possibly even appear to have worked before her natural healing fights it off so the fight could end that way?

That sounds good to me! She can slow her down and then when Gorgon finally thinks the petrification has stuck, move away to carry on Blood Fort prep/nurse her injuries and giving Saya a chance to leave.

Absolutely up for him getting himself killed while getting her somewhat sane again. A few crushed ribs, willingly let his blood/mana get drained so shes more stable... you know the drill.

But yesss- delicious pain. Then as she comes back to her senses getting the awful sensation of 'what have I done'...

Edit: Plus, the whole situation will remind her of a certain Blade friend of hers named Herald.

Ohh lore, do tell?

The story of Herald's Character Quest is trying to help her control her power, eventually ending up as convincing her not to essentially commit suicide via energy draining cave that would render her Core inert forever.
It's not a perfect match to Medusa's situation, but it's close enough that Nia will be concerned.

If Nia wants even more similarities, she can come across Gorgon after she's already killed someone close and has a nice amount of guilt piled onto her rampage-

Ozymandias will first take care of Hijikata things, but after that he plans on giving chase.
Either can be injured, but I'd like to avoid death :3

And very important Ozy doodles on him, gets his pet shaming sign out and send out a humiliating broadcast to the Network- She'll definitely not like Ozy confronting her in that state because well, he said he didn't see her as a monster but well just look at her now.
And all good, we can definitely dish out some injuries without needing to kill anyone.

I just want giant snake vs giant snake!!

Giant snek vs giant snek!!!
Yes, I want to see this too- she’ll be rather surprised, she didn’t see what he looked like when they spoke on the network after all, given the blindfold. So he really is like her after all…
