arts festival interest check!!
WE IGNORE THAT FIRST POST
hello everyone!! last year, ayaka hosted an arts festival together with kaveh, and asked help from other characters, whether it was for organising or to participate!! i was thinking of bringing it back this year, and while last year was a focus on performing arts and stuff, i was thinking that this year could be some sort of martial arts/fighting festival (with some performing and visual arts on the side)!
my ideas so far would have the main event be a couple of fighting tournament cups— one where it's just fighting using seasonal magic, one with no magic/supernatural abilities/etc, and another that's an all-out anything goes (but no killing please) sort of tournament. there could be performances in between matches, and there would be space for booths and stuff, whether food or shops or anything else.
since pvp can get complicated, i was thinking of rng-ing everything with some parameters. players can enter their characters and state their character's power level for that specific tournament, and results get rng'ed for fairness. players can decide to thread fights out, handwave based on the results and thread the aftermath, etc.
so an example would be... ayaka and ayato join the tournament and fight with just their sword skills and do not use their seasonal magic or their vision. ayaka's power level is a 8/10, while ayato's power level is a 9/10. so ayaka would have 8 entries in the rng pot, while ayato would have 9 entries. only one name gets pulled in the end though!
i have not thought of anything else beyond that, so please do let me know if you are oocly interested in a little arts festival. any suggestions would be more than welcome, too! if it looks like there's sufficient interest, i'll put up an ic network post announcing it. i am targetting for this to be in late april.
thank you for reading this!
