Fairy Dust: it's definitely possible to collect the dust, but the fairies who see this happen will warn her that she shouldn't use it on herself; pure fairy dust is always meant to be used on others. Otherwise she might grow small fairy wings in unexpected places. But the effect does remain the same even if others use it. However, if the dust is made into stuff like potions (to boost the magical effect of potions, for example) it will be safe to consume by the user itself.
You can collect rose petals freely. The effect does get diluted the more roses are picked up, even if the effect never really goes away properly (the roses grow back eventually). Eating the petals will have double the effect, but brewing them into tea or into potions will cancel effect.
The heart-shaped roses should not be used or consumed by the characters are they are very much needed by the Fairy Queen, but if she does end up eating a petal it won't feel like anything, but she would be stared at by any fairies she encounters afterwards since they will know and be sort of attracted to her presence for at least a week (Ellipsa time, not dimension time).
All seeds can be different plants (there are 5 seeds in the bag). Eating one will just taste like sunflower seeds for some reason! And looking at them closely they're filled with fairy magic, but nothing else comes up as "odd".
