Character Name(s): Rui Kamishiro curuiosity, Von Lycaon wolfishlycharming, Ren Jinguji saxsongs, Performance: A Little Red Riding Hood inspired play with Ren as Little Red Riding Hood, Lycaon as The Wolf, Rui as The Wizard, and a Robot voiced by Rui as Granny.
The play starts with Little Red Riding Hood going to Granny’s house, but soon finds himself lost in the forest. He’s found by The Wolf who claims to know the way. As they travel together it seems clear to the audience that The Wolf likely is up to no good. Just as it seems this is about to come true, vines grow (cardboard cutouts of vines pop up) around them and The Wizard appears. He accuses The Wolf of kidnapping Little Red Riding Hood. The Wolf tries to explain, but The Wizard won’t listen and attacks. The fight scene is relatively simple, but makes use of Rui’s power of electricity. Eventually Little Red Riding Hood is able to get safely between the two and stop the fighting long enough to explain the situation, siding with The Wolf. The Wolf agrees with Little Red Riding Hood’s story, adding his point of view, and the Wizard calms down. He apologizes for the trouble, and dispels the vines, allowing the pair to continue their journey. Shortly afterwards, they come to a small cottage with Granny tending to her garden. She sees them, and thanks The Wolf for bringing her grandson there safely. The show closes on the three of them heading inside for tea and cookies.
